Reconstruction of the centralized heat supply system in the city of Samarkand and improvement of energy efficiency



In order to implement the Resolution No. 306 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 12, 2019 on measures to implement the project "Reconstruction of the centralized heat supply system and increasing energy efficiency in the cities of Andijan, Chirchik, Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent (TS-8)", Individual Heat Points (IHP) were installed on the floors of multi-storey buildings in the city of Samarkand with the funds of the International Development Association (IDA).



Construction of Heating Supply Systems for the “Yangi O‘zbekiston” Residential Area Located in the Territories of “Islom Karimov” and “A. Qahhor” MFIs, Almalyk City, Tashkent Region



The project consists of two separate heating systems.

LK-1 (Boiler House No.1) – total capacity 5.1 MW (three units of N = 1.7 MW each).

Manufacturer: “TEXNOPARK”, Uzbekistan, boiler brand: “FERROLI”.

The boilers have an efficiency rate of 92–93%.

To ensure an uninterrupted supply of thermal energy to consumers, one 1.7 MW heating boiler is designed to operate on natural gas and reserve fuel (diesel).

LK-2 (Boiler House No.2) – total capacity 8.0 MW (four units of N = 2.0 MW each).

Manufacturer: “TEXNOPARK”, Uzbekistan, boiler brand: “FERROLI”.

The boilers have an efficiency rate of 92–93%.

To ensure continuous heat supply to consumers, one 2.0 MW heating boiler is adapted for operation on natural gas and reserve fuel (diesel).

Both boiler houses are equipped with diesel generators serving as backup power sources.

In the construction of the heating networks, pre-insulated polyurethane foam pipes with diameters ranging from 300 mm to 50 mm have been used.

The pipelines are laid underground, preserving the aesthetic appearance of the area.

The guaranteed service life of these pipes is 30 years, and heat loss does not exceed 3%.

The main network is equipped with a remote monitoring and control system, which transmits precise data to the dispatch center in case of any pipeline damage during operation.

The total network length is 7 km, and the number of consumer buildings is 36.



Construction of Heating Systems for the “Yangi O‘zbekiston” Residential Area Located in the Territory of “Chinobod” MFI, Dustlik District, Jizzakh Region



The total capacity of the boiler house is 10 MW (two units of N = 4.0 MW and one unit of N = 2.0 MW).

Manufacturer: “TEPLODAR” LLC, Uzbekistan, boiler brand: “TEPLODAR”.

The boilers have an efficiency rate of 92–93%.

To ensure an uninterrupted supply of thermal energy to consumers, one 4.0 MW heating boiler is designed to operate on natural gas and reserve fuel (diesel).

The boiler house is also equipped with a diesel generator as a backup power source.

In the construction of the heating networks, pre-insulated polyurethane foam pipes with diameters ranging from 300 mm to 50 mm have been used.

The pipelines are laid underground, thus preserving the aesthetic appearance of the area.

The guaranteed service life of these pipes is 30 years, and heat loss does not exceed 3%.

The main network is equipped with a remote monitoring system, capable of transmitting precise information to the dispatch center in case of any pipeline damage during operation.

The total network length is 4 km, and the number of consumer buildings is 20.



Heating Supply Systems to be Constructed in the Territory of “Yangibod” Makhalla, Nurafshon City, Tashkent Region, within the “New Uzbekistan” Residential Area.



The total thermal capacity of the boiler house is 25 MW, including:

• two boilers with a capacity of N = 10 MW each;

• one boiler with a capacity of N = 5.0 MW.

The equipment manufacturer is “MIMSAN ENERGY” (Turkey), and the boiler model is “MIMSAN”.

The boilers are equipped with economizers, ensuring a thermal efficiency (efficiency factor) of 95–96%.

To provide uninterrupted heating energy supply to consumers, the 10 MW heating boiler is designed to operate on natural gas and backup fuel (diesel).

The boiler house is equipped with a diesel generator serving as a backup power supply source.

During the construction of the heating networks, pre-insulated steel pipes with polyurethane foam insulation (PUF) were used, with diameters ranging from 400 mm to 50 mm.

The pipelines are laid underground, which preserves the aesthetic appearance of the surrounding area.

The guaranteed service life of the pipelines is specified as 30 years.

Heat losses in the pipelines do not exceed 3%.

The heating network is equipped with a remote monitoring and control system, enabling real-time detection and transmission of data to the dispatcher control point regarding any damage or faults that may occur during operation.

Total network length: 8 km. Number of consumer buildings 25.
